President Rodrigo Duterte found solid Filipino support in Hong Kong through the efforts of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Baste Duterte, and Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson.

The influential trio organized the Tapang and Malasakit Alliance for the Philippines last Febriary 25, 2018 at the General Post Office in Hong Kong that will help allay assistance and support for the plans and projects of the President.

Uson emphasized the extent of Rodrigo’s support for the oversease Filipino workers (OFW) through the establishment of an OFW bank, card, hospital, and all-around Command Center.
The Alliance was founded in order to recognize, organize, and appreciate the Filipinos who actively supported the President durinf his campaign period.

Sara explained that this was a way to give the OFWs a venue to continue expressing their support to the President even past the election season.
It took two years before the plan to set up the Alliance came to fruition, and now Baste proclaims that it is the best of times to be a Filipino.
