The hypocrisy of UN Human Rights Commissioner Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein

United Nations Human Rights Office High Commissioner Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein of Jordan has been criticizing President Rodrigo Duterte for his war against terrorism and drugs. But in reality, the commissioner should look to where he came from and realize the hypocrisy of his statements.

Duterte was democratically elected President of the Philippines, loved by his people for his bold and fearless persona, and his one goal, to eradicate drug-related crimes and drugs itself. But Zeid somewhat still finds the confidence to slam Duterte repeatedly for his alleged “crimes against humanity” and for naming UN official Victoria-Tauli Corpuz as a member of the New People’s Army and sympathizer of the communism.

Commissioner Zeid disrespectfully said that,

“It makes one believe that the president of the Philippines needs to submit himself to some sort of psychiatric evaluation.”

The Hypocrisy

What has the UN do for Palestine, Kashmir, the Serbian refugees of 1999 North Atlantic Treaty Organization war and so on? What has the UN done for the over 3000 killed Palestine refugees who were murdered by JORDANIANS during the 1967 Arab-Israeli War? What has Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein of Jordan done for the suffering and dying people of Syria who are caught in the crossfire of the today’s war that is spearheaded by the United States military that Jordan accepts with open arms?
Hypocrisy, hypocrisy, HYPOCRISY!

The UN Human Rights Commissioner should look back at his own country and its neighboring countries’ refugees who are experiencing inhumane circumstances due to his own ignorance and apathy.

The true defender of Human Rights

It may be local, it may be an ongoing process that is seen with judgmental eyes, but Duterte’s “War on Drugs” is savings more lives than it is harming. Millions of Filipinos are enjoying drug and crime-free streets due to his endeavors. Daesh-aligned terrorists whose funding came from the Middle East have been suppressed, and despite establishing martial law in most of Mindanao no lives were lost due to it, they were rather saved from the slaughter of the Maute.

The UN is an organization that uses diplomacy, but in contrast to this, Zeid was incredibly provocative, insulting, uncivilized with his remarks. A completely disgusting disgrace to the UN which can only be forgiven by a formal apology.
