NY University alumna encourage Duterte to take a break

Krizette Laureta Chu, a well-known supporter of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, has seen the president struggle and become tired of his job running the country and has recently gone to Facebook to express how she feels the president should take a vacation and relax.

According to Chu, the president is very tired and exhausted because of all the work he has been doing for the past two years.

She adds that he is very much unlike former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III whom she accuses never asked for a break all throughout his terms because she says he has been on vacation the whole time.

She also brings in Vice President Leonor “Leni” Robredo, saying that the VP has a lot of energy because she is not doing anything either.

Chu then goes on to say that the President is entitled to vacations days, as does other presidents like former President Barack Obama who took about a year of vacation days in his eight years in service towards the American people as president.

She adds that even the days Duterte spends in Mindanao are not vacation days because he is still working when he goes there.

Ending her post, Chu says that President Duterte has been working hard nonstop for over 2 years and deserves a break.

“Duterte has been working for two years. He's never taken a 3 month break, let alone a weeklong break,” Chu said.

"Napapagod si President Duterte kasi totoong nagtratrabaho. Kaya pagod. Kaya frustrated. Si Noynoying never nag ask ng break. Kasi naka break sya all throughout with panaka nakang pirma ng papeles there, ribbon cutting here, basa ng speech na gawa ni Lacierda there, attend ng kasal ni Dongyan habang bumabagyo here. So kung pagod si Duterte, dahil hindi tamad. Tignan nyo si Leni, laging may Energy FM.

The Presidency is a job. He should be encouraged to take a break. Just like Obama, who went to Camp David, Hawaii, and Martha's Vineyard for his vacations. Obama took 328 vacation days in the eight years he's been President.

That's about a year for 8 years he's been working. If he worked for 4 years, that would have been 6 months worth of break. If he worked for 2 years, that would have been a 3 month break. Pag umuuwi si Duterte ng Mindanao, hindi rin break yon. Nag tratrabaho pa rin sya. Pumupunta pa rin ng Zamboanga, etc.

Duterte has been working for two years. He's never taken a 3 month break, let alone a weeklong break. I want him to take a break. I can take over naman, no problem with me. Pag balik nya, patay na lahat ng corrupt. Char.

Have a Kitkat, President Duterte. Please take a break. #DuterteTakeABreak"
