Ateneo de Davao alumnus calls Trillanes a mad dog, tells Robredo to stop saying he’s a victim

Ateneo de Davao alumnus Monching Lumantas has released attacks against Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

Lumantas commented on a statement released by the vice president who said that the arrest of Senator Trillanes was a move by the administration in order to silence the opposition. Furthermore, the vice president said that this only weakened the democracy in the Philippines.

To which Lumantas replied that Robredo should have said all these to former President Benigno Aquino III who was the one who granted amnesty towards the senator.

Lumantas also tells a story on how Trillanes became a “mad dog”, saying that the amnesty that was granted to him was a “political accommodation” by the administration of Aquino. He continues on to say that this becomes the reason why Trillanes became the “attack dog of the Liberal Party”.

Lumtantas adds that all the major activities of Trillanes before, like his back channel talks with China, persecution of Angie Reyes, the losing of then candidate Jejomar Binay in the vice presidential race, and the attack against President Duterte is all part of his duties as the “attack dog” of the opposition.

More than this, Lumantas likens Trillanes now to a wild dog whose chains was unlocked by its owner.

He never stops howling because his master is always at his back. He is hoping that one day you will become President and he will be rewarded for all the dirty job,” says Lumantas.

Finishing his post, Lumantas accuses Robredo of being the one who is weakening the democracy in the country, saying that she should just shut up and that Trillanes should “go back in his cage where he belongs”.

"THE MAD DOG

Madame, you should tell that to Pnoy 'coz he granted amnesty to an enemy of the State who committed mutiny not once, but twice. 😎

Look what happened! The rebel turned into a pitbull on the loose. He barks and bites to his own delight. He boasts as if he is all knowing and powerful. Where in the world can you find a lowly lawmaker threatening a President?

The amnesty was a political accomodation from the past administration. As payback, Trillanes became the attack dog of the Liberal Party. First, he accepted the mission to have back channel talks with China and we lost Scarborough Shoal. Then he persecuted Angie Reyes to the max and nailed him to the cross. Soon after he lambasted Binay and the former VP's ambition was compromised. Finally, he tried to pin down Duterte during the campaign, he failed and the Punisher won in the end.

Now that Digong is President, he continues to go wild because you and the yellows have unlocked the chain tied around his neck. He never stops howling because his master is always at his back.

He is hoping that one day you will become President and he will be rewarded for all the dirty job.

You are using him, the Church, CHR, the elite, student activists, communists and the media to oust a duly constituted authority. That is not dissent, it's disunity and demonizing the people. You are the ones weakening the democracy.

Madame, please stop portraying him as a victim. He should go back to the cage where he once belong. Inside, he ain't nothing but a hound dog...crying all the time." 🐕
