Panoorin ang ulat ng DPWH-ARMM On the Road:

Abdulmunir I. Hadjirul, First District Engineer ng lalawigan at supervision ng Engr. Don Mustapha A. Loong, OIC-Regional Secretary ng DPWH-ARMM.

Narito ang kumpletong report ng DPWH-ARMM On the Road:

ARMM Public Works Wages Development for Peace in the most dangerous communities in the Philippines.

A few days after this video was taken, the workers and soldiers securing the project was attacked by the Abu Sayyaf in Panglayahan, Patikul, Sulu- the final frontier and the last impenetrable ASG communities in Sulu. In this project more than 60 fully armed soldiers guard the workers in the site. Bomb squads reguarly monitor the area for improvised explosives as an IED mortar bomb was placed on the route of the heavy equipment by lawless elements a few weeks earlier.

Two days ago, an engineer was kidnapped by the ASG as he stepped out of his house in Jolo Sulu. Few months ago, drivers were kidnapped and dump trucks burned.

But the ARMM Regional Government and the DPWH ARMM will continue to build in the most dangerous communities in South East Asia because the main reason why these communities has become haven for lawless elements - is that they were never reached by Government socio economic and infrastructure development.

For decades these communties had been in The dark and had been the breeding ground of hate against government.

But darkness cannot be removed by more darkness. Only light can remove darkness.

Just as their hate cannot be removed by more hate from guns and bombs. Only love can remove their hate.

And the most concrete expression of love is the building of roads that will being forth opportunities for livelihood, education, health, water and light.

This valentines day, we dedicate it to the DPWH ARMM workers who died in building roads and the soldiers who died in protecting our workers and the engineer still in the hands of the Abu Sayyaf up to now.

We request for your deep prayers.
