Pia Roces Morato, descendant of Quezon City's first mayor Tomas Morato, and the great Chino Roces, called out actress Kris Aquino about her recent clash with Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson.

Aquino called out Uson, and telling her that she will not back down from a fight, subsequent to Uson posting a video of late Senator Bernigno Aquino III before he was shot to death, where he was kissed by two women, this in order to defend her stand regarding President Rodrigo Duterte's kiss with a Filipina in South Korea.

Aquino appeared emotional in her video posted in Facebook and Instagram where she said that Uson had no respect for her father, who died a hero giving the people the democracy taht they enjoy now.

Morato, who is currently a news anchor at PNA Newsroom, in her Facebook account gave a response to Aquino's message.

"Dear Kris Aquino, I really do not understand why you make this issue about you all the time," she said.

She said that since Aquino was fond of mentioning her parents, she too will talk about an ascendant, her late grand uncle, Chino Roces, publisher and founder of the Manila Times.

"At the time of your mother's presidency , and as these articles show , my grand uncle told your mother that her government was corrupt . Your mother "took it" from Chino Roces . That is because , and at the very least , even your own mother knew that this was not about her," she said.

"It was about the Filipino People," she added, further stating that she'd rather people kept things at that.

Along with her sentiment were pictures of screen captures of articles featuring the said event.

Roces was the one who initiated the million signature campaign for Corazon Aquino's candidacy in the 1986 elections.

During Aquino's administration, he warned her that  the Philippines was fast turning into “a nation of highwaymen".

Roces was awarded the Legion of Honor, the nation's highest civilian award, the grand old man of Philippine journalism during said recognition, called for a 'new moral order' under Aquino.

'We cannot afford a government of thieves unless we can tolerate a nation of highwaymen,' Roces said at the time.

During his funeral, Aquino vowed that his call to change her corruption-ridden government will be given heed.

"'We are increasingly on our own and so I say goodbye my friend Chino. With God's help and with the help of the people I will not disappoint you," she said.

As of writing, Morato's post has garnered over one thousand likes.

Dear Kris Aquino ,

I really do not understand why you make this issue about you all the time .

But since you love to talk about your mom and dad , I'll bring in my dead grand uncle so we can all talk about the dead .

At the time of your mother's presidency , and as these articles show , my grand uncle told your mother that her government was corrupt . Your mother "took it" from Chino Roces . That is because , and at the very least , even your own mother knew that this was not about her .

It was about the Filipino People .

Let's keep things at that .
