In one of his Facebook post, retired military official Abe Purugganan expressed distaste towards senators and congressmen who are quite about the issues surrounding the 2016 alleged election fraud exposed by Atty. Glenn Chong.

“Even Senator Sotto seems to be lukewarm. Does this mean that every one of them bought favor or votes from Comelec and from Smartmatic?” Purugganan said.

On yesterday’s Senate hearing about the electoral fraud, Chong revealed that he acquired information along with a CCTV footage that Voters’ Database were being sold by former elections officers in Maragondon, Cavite.

“Yung voter database, I was given a video, I know the guy, you know this person because he is a well-known political personality. Na-record po nya yung pagbebenta ng Voters Database ng election officer dati ng marigondon cavite.” Chong told the committee.

“Nilalako po yun sa mga pulitiko.” The former Biliran representative added.

Furthermore, Purugganan also cited that both the media and opposition are “eerily silent,”

The retired military official pointed out that if this rotten electoral system did not change, the country will remain in “political chaos.”

“Comelec will continue to produce fake officials who will exploit government for their own political and economic gains. Federalism may not even be the solution to our political problems and it might just add to the problem if we do not do anything to renew and put order first in our electoral system.” Purugganan said.

Lastly, he called on the people and the Duterte government to take the opportunity to cut off this system, “an evil that has fooled us for decades.”*

“I hope the Duterte administration moves now before our people take matters into their hands.” The retired officer added.

Below is the complete Facebook post of Abe Purugganan:

Why are Senators and Congressmen so mum about the electoral fraud revealed by Atty. Glenn Chong? Why is nobody from the legislative branch championing and standing to fight electoral fraud? Even Senator Sotto seems to be lukewarm. Does this mean that every one of them bought favor or votes from Comelec and from Smartmatic?

Even the opposition and the media are eerily silent. Obviously, they benefited from this.

Are all of them guilty of cheating and fooling the Filipino people?

We are aware that cheating in the election has been rampant since time immemorial and computerization of our election system had made it very easy for politicians to cheat their way to electoral victory.

Are we just going to take this sitting down and allow politicians-cheaters to continuously take advantage and fool the Filipino people?

For as long as our electoral system remains to be rotten and corrupted, we will be in constant political chaos. Comelec will continue to produce fake officials who will exploit government for their own political and economic gains.*

Federalism may not even be the solution to our political problems and it might just add to the problem if we do not do anything to renew and put order first in our electoral system.

We have now an opportunity to cut off this evil in our midst, an evil that has fooled us for decades. I hope the Duterte administration moves now before our people take matters into their hands.
