Political Blogger, Satirist, and Community Activist contemplates on President Rodrigo Duterte’s disposition as a ‘master strategist’ following Tuesday’s statement of a military junta to lead the country over the constitutional process of Presidential succession, should he be ousted by the military themselves.

In his statement, Duterte once again underestimated Vice President Leni Robredo’s capabilities saying that although he does not have anything personal against the latter, he said that the Vice President “cannot improve on anything here.”

Duterte told Business Leaders in a meeting held at Malacañang, "The problem is, I cannot suggest to them that you follow the succession which is really (in) the Constitution... I am hesitant to suggest a constitutional succession."

"I would suggest to the military, grant a junta... line up here, I’ll put you in your proper place," he implied.

Despite a few more years left in his term, Duterte told the police and military his thoughts of ‘stepping down’ because he is already TIRED.

“I told the soldiers and policemen, ‘Guys, I want you to know that I’m thinking of stepping down because I’m tired, well I’m not angry against anybody,” the Chief Executive said citing continued corruption in the government despite efforts of eradication.

“My chase against graft and corruption seems to be endless and it has contaminated almost all government departments and offices,” he added.

With Duterte hinting about ‘stepping down’, makes the mainstream media go Ga – Ga, according to Rene Astudillo in his recent Facebook post.

Gaining various positive reactions from his followers, Astudillo posted in Facebook account citing Duterte’s character, saying: I think Duterte is a master strategist. A genius! He says he prefers a military junta over the Constitutional process of presidential succession.

Now, the Yellows are seriously thinking whether or not they should continue to push for Leni Robredo to succeed Duterte.

And with his comment, he just earned the full support of the military.

But most of all, he hinted about ‘stepping down.’ And the news media goes gaga.

It’s a win-win for Duterte. And he’ll still be president till the end of his term.

And all along, he relegated Robredo into the annals of political incompetency.
