President Rodrigo Duterte in his speech at Malacañang has made an appeal to the Europian Union (EU), which has been known staunch critics of his administration's campaign to end illegal narcotics.

Aside from his staunch critics from the opposition party, rights groups and several church leaders Duterte also receives a lot of criticisms on his intensified narcotics crackdown from an international groups where he always said to stop meddling in his state policies.

Duterte said EU to consider reviewing there policies in dealing with state leaders imposing its domestic policies.

"You might want to take a second look in your policies."

"First of all, do not humiliate the leaders, then you could talk to them, pay him a visit. You can talk to me here," the President said.

"But you don't send here investigators to find out because that is really interference."

It can be recalled that President Duterte had said in his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July that the government’s war on drugs would be “relentless,” adding that illegal narcotic menace has “dysfunctionalized families and ruined relationships.”

The Chief Executive has remained unfazed with the global condemnation on his narcotics crackdown campaign as majority of Filipinos still still trust and believes his leadership.

“If you think that I can be dissuaded from continuing this fight because of [your] demonstrations, your protests, which I find, by the way, misdirected, then you got it all wrong,” he said.

He also said human rights advocates cannot sway him to discontinue the narcotic war with protests.

“Your concern is human rights, mine is human lives. The lives of our youth are being wasted and families are destroyed, and all because of the chemicals called shabu, cocaine, cannabis, and heroine,” he added.

“You worry about the present; I am concerned both the present and the future. I worry about the future because I know what crimes can do to the youth of this country. If not stopped, crimes can make human cesspools of succeeding generations. I will not allow it to happen. Not during my term.”
