Actress – Singer Agot Isidro on Thursday, mauls President Rodrigo Duterte for missing 6 key events on the 2nd day of the Association of Southeast Asian Nation’s (ASEAN) Regional Conference in Singapore to take his ‘power nap’.

Citing to Malaysia’s Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohammad, who’s 20 years older than Duterte, Agot scorned the President through a twitter post, saying, “Hiyang-hiya naman si Malaysian PM Mahathir bin Mohamad (93 years old) sa iyo.”

As predicted, Agot’s tweet caught the attention of netizens with one by the screenname @Angelosupreme29 saying that ‘Agot’s posts make him roll his eyes’ all the time.

— God!!”

Predictable of Agot’s character, the former TV host retweeted by saying, “Kuya, advise lang. Hinay hinay sa porn.”

Agot have long became a recipient of bashing of all sorts in social media, including rape threats to death wishes – all thanks to being an outspoken critic of the Duterte administration.

President Rodrigo Duterte, on Thursday morning, told reporters that his nap was “enough to sustain endurance for the last days”, at the same time, confirming his scheduled bilateral meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The President implied that there was entirely nothing wrong with his absence from the events as he chose to take a nap. Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr, instead, attended the meetings on his behalf.

"What's wrong with my nap? I don't eat breakfast and I'm sure you know that," the President told the reporters.

In an earlier statement by Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, Duterte skipped the meetings because “he took naps to catch on sleep.”

Panelo added that they find it quite ‘amusing’ for some people ‘making a big fuss’ of the President skipping a ‘few’ meetings in the ASEAN summit.

Panelo pointed out that the President never missed the ASEAN – China Summit and also witnessed the Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Commission and ASEAN on Economic Cooperation.

"We assure the nation that his aforementioned absence has nothing to do with his physical health and well-being which have been the subject of speculation," the Palace Spokesman said.
