Atty. Bruce Rivera: It is Trillanes who is lazy, not Duterte

Trillanes calls Duterte lazy

When the issue of President Duterte taking naps during meetings of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations came out, many people were outraged, saying that it is not presidential of Duterte to miss these meeting only to sleep.

Trillanes was one of these people saying that these were important meetings that the president should not have missed, but also that by doing so, the president is being lazy not fulfilling his presidential duties.

It could only be one of two things: he is either seriously ill that he could no longer perform his functions as President; or he is simply too lazy and irresponsible,” Trillanes said.

Either way, that’s a big problem for our country,” he added.

Rivera defends the president

Rivera, however, does not see it that way.

He said that the president cannot be lazy because of the many degrees that he has. He also said that the fact that the president finished law school and passed the bar means that he has dedicated a lot of time academically to achieve these titles.

Rivera then goes on to compare Duterte to Trillanes. Rivera ridicules Trillanes for not taking any state licensure exam.

“Trillanes has not passed a state licensure exam. So who is lazy now?” Rivera said.

Trillanes only succeeded because of his father

Rivera also said that the only reason Trillanes got into the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) is because of his father.

“Trillanes survived the PMA because his father was there to make his life easier,” Rivera said.

Duterte was tired, not lazy

Even more so, Rivera says that being tired is different from being lazy, of which he claims Duterte was.

He says that with all the presidential duties that Duterte had to fulfill, it was only logical that he gets tired and take a nap because of it.

“Alam mo kung sino ang tamad? Yung magsasagawa ng rebelyon pero imbes makipaglaban sa init ng lansangan ay mamemerhwisyo ng tao at sasakupin ang hotel (not once but twice), dahil malamig ang aircon dun,” Rivera said.

"TRILLANES SAID TAMAD SI DUTERTE

Teka lang....

Almost ex-Senator Trillanes once again hogged the spotlight in a last ditch effort to be relevant in light of his impending return to being a private ass****. Hindi siya pinansin ni PRD kaya hindi siya pinahuli so his dreams of being martyred are dashed. Tough luck, it will be easier to arrest you when you do not have Senate facilities as your refuge and no Senate reporters covering you all the time.

I think Trillanes is the last person to call PRD tamad. Academically speaking, PRD finished law and passed the Bar. More years of study. Trillanes survived the PMA because his father was there to make his life easier. In fact, Trillanes has not passed a state licensure exam. So who is lazy now? Duterte went to law school after the death of his father, Trillanes entered PMA because his father backed him up.

Trillanes' stint in public service is shorter than Duterte. And the latter started as a prosecutor then mayor tor more than 23 years before becoming President. All because of his own efforts. Trillanes passed the PMA because of Dad and then he became Senator because he staged a coup and occupied two hotels. His election to the Senate was because of media hype and the swooning females who voted for him because of his packaging as a handsome rebel. He stayed as Senator not because of hard work but simply on the qualification that he is willing to be someone's attack dog. No hard work. Just lazy connivance with lazy bullying.

And just because PRD took a nap, Trillanes calls him lazy. The lucky soldier calls a 73 year old man who has tirelessly worked since he became President in June 2016 despite unwavering criticism from him and his cohorts. And if I may ask, Sen. Trillanes, do you know how hard it is to be 73 years old and do all the travelling, commandeer a nation and deal with all your senseleas rants. I am even tired for him. Iba ang pagod sa tamad. Si PRD, pagod.

Alam mo kung sino ang tamad? Yung magsasagawa ng rebelyon pero imbes makipaglaban sa init ng lansangan ay mamemerhwisyo ng tao at sasakupin ang hotel (not once but twice), dahil malamig ang aircon dun.

It is okey to be a jerk, sir. It is not our fault you were raised that way. But before you throw adjectives at PRD, make sure you are not its poster boy."
