President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday warned Filipino people against from supporting the Magdalo group as he likened them to Islamic State terrorists also known as ISIS, saying the public should be careful with the rebel soldiers.

Beware

“Be careful with those guys. Maniwala kayo. Take it from me," the President said.

In his speech before the Filipino community in the Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, where he is attending the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting that Magdalo group are rebel soldiers who alleged former president Gloria Arroyo of corruption and demanded her resignation.

“Be careful with Magdalo. Be careful of ‘yang partidong Magdalo. Ito ‘yung mga rebeldeng sundalo na nagkalat diyan sa Makati pati sa Peninsula. And they destroyed everything, parang ISIS ang mga buang," he said referring to the uprisings staged by the rebel soldiers.

He further said that they are not capable of anything but to k-ll, taunt and disrespect people.

"Wala silang alam kung ‘di to k-ll, maghahamon, magbastos." he added.

The Mutineers

Magdalo members faced rebellion charges over the 2003 Oakwood mutiny and the 2007 Manila Peninsula siege.

Magdalo group is being led by former naval officer and now Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Magdalo party list Representative Gary Alejano, both are vocal critics of Duterte's government and were granted amnesty by former president Benigno Aquino III.

“Be careful again with military lalo na ‘yang mga rebelde tapos na-rehab because they were extended pardon by Aquino." he said

Duterte also said that the rebel soldiers "became sort of invincible na. Pumasok na sa isip ‘yung, well I can do anything I want because I did the worst in my lifetime and yet I am still here being a senator."

He further that what he just wanted now in his remaining years in the office is to take care of his country.

“Ako wala na eh. This is my last chapter. I cannot run again. I am limited to six, I am halfway through. So ang akin is just to take care of my country,”
