Int’l Relations Expert Slams Foreign Media Freedom Advocate For Glorifying Jover Laurio

For the Motherland blogger, Sass Rogando Sasot slammed the media freedom advocate D.W. Freedom for their gullibility in falling for the drama of Jover Laurio. Their feature of her in their Facebook page and their portrayal of Laurio as a hero of press freedom is nothing short of ridiculous.

Libelous Hero

Sass Sasot responded to the Facebook post of D.W. Freedom, a German broadcasting company claiming to be an advocate of press freedom, freedom of speech, and freedom of expression.

Sasot said that the hero they featured is actually an employee of a political party, writing blogs critical of the government in order to forward the party’s interest. Jover Laurio also has a pending cyber-libel case filed by Sasot for her fake allegations against her.

Social Media Defender

Sasot further explained that Laurio is an active social media defender of the Aquino administration. She is also well protected by the party she works for and is not afraid to commit libelous remarks to the critics of the political party she works for.

Sasot said that she was humiliated by Laurio. “She subjected me for several months to repeated, unapologetic, cold-hearted transphobic abuse by calling me using my male name, repeatedly. She did that while she was hiding behind anonymity. Here in Western Europe, such behavior would be frowned upon, and could be subject for a lawsuit.”

Paid Troll

Sasot likewise accused Jover Laurio of being a paid troll. There were reports that she was receiving 25K a month from Kris Aquino, the younger sister of PNoy, so as to defend her brother in her blogs.

She also claimed to be jobless, yet her Facebook page and posts are sponsored, something which needed a credit card for payment. And someone without a job would find it hard to get a credit card unless you have a corporate job, or has a lot of money in the bank.

D.W. Freedom was fooled into believing that Laurio is a hero, but here in the country, she is considered as the villain.

Dear DW Freedom:

That you are falling for the drama of the employee of the political party that wants to usurp power from a democratically elected official is ridiculous.

I have a pending cyber-libel case versus your so-called "hero."

The case I filed last year versus Jover Laurio and the administrator of her blog, Cocoy Dayao, who was a former consultant of the previous Aquino Administration. is a public document, and can be found in the Office of the City Prosecutor of Taguig.

In a nutshell, your hero, while protected by her anonymity then, released a FAKE INFORMATION claiming that I'm working as an escort here in The Netherlands. That post was accompanied by one of my pictures which Laurio posted with corresponding prices. In that post, Laurio claimed that I am also working as a "paid troll." Both of which are false.

The group associated with Laurio et al also released my exact address here in The Netherlands in February 2017. Now, tell me, how did they get it?

Laurio was an active social media defender of the Aquino Administration throughout its six years in power. During that time, Laurio, who was still working in a call center, claimed that she had the EXACT information of a Filipino living in Australia. Laurio's call center company was servicing an Australian company; and the Filipino is a blogger, one of the founders of GRP (GetRealPhilippines.COM) one of the pioneer political blogs in the Philippines, critical of the Aquino Administration. Here's GRP article about that incident: https://tinyurl.com/yclrht3e

Because I’m highly critical of the political party of Laurio, she subjected me for several months to repeated, unapologetic, cold-hearted transphobic abuse by calling me using my male name, repeatedly. She did that while she was hiding behind anonymity. Here in Western Europe, such behaviour would be frowned upon, and could be subject for a lawsuit.

Laurio is protectedv (she's friends with the WIFE of the chief of staff of Mar Roxas, and she attended high-level meetings of the Roxas-Robred campaign team -- pictures of these abound) and possibly under the payroll of powerful political figures. Jesus Falcis, her former CLOSE friend in the opposition, whom she had a falling out with, even claimed that she was receiving 25,000 pesos/month from Ms Kris Aquino, the sister of the former president. Why don’t you interview Jesus Falcis so you’d know the real Laurio?

Furthermore, Laurio claims that she’s jobless, yet her Facebook Page often has Sponsored Posts, which either promote certain politicians or propaganda against the Duterte Administration. Attached are some of those Sponsored Posts. Now, who is paying for them?
