Consistent in refusing to grant emergency powers to the government to resolve traffic woe?

Sen. Grace Poe maintained her stance in insisting that even without the emergency powers, a lot can still be done to help solve Metro Manila's terrible traffic mess if only the concerned department will do their jobs properly.

Poe also fired tirade against Arthur Tugade on Thursday, causing a writer from Manila Bulletin to slam the senator big time.

Krizette Laureta Chu, a vocal critic of Poe and staunch defender of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, hit back at the senator anew after the latter criticized the Transportation Chief .

On Thursday, the re-elected senator said in an interview on ANC that the secretary of the Department of Transportation is "underperforming" thus, "somebody else should take his place".

Defending the DOTr secretary, Chu wrote a powerful open letter to express her disgust over the senator's condescending remark.

Read her powerful open letter:
MAN OF ACTION. Sec. Art Tugade with Krizette Laureta Chu and Clark's aetas who work on the building periphery and the “farm” he has in the area.
Dear Grace Poe,

Hindi nag pursige si Art Tugade in turning his life around, from being a poor boy from Tatalon who had to sell garapata (garapa pala) para lang may pambili ng gamit sa skwelahan, maging scholar from kinder to college to law school, maging billionaire thru nothing but hard work, at iwan ang dapat relaxing at marangyang retirement years nya at mag hirap sa pag silbi, para lang insultuhin ng mga spoiled bratty girls like you who has never known hard work, hardship, and hardiness.

You had everything handed to you on a silver platter, from becoming an MTRCB chair even when all the experience you had pertaining to movies was being the daughter of a screen legend; AND THEN you became a senator by riding on your father’s name WITH ZERO experience as a local government employee. You had it all easy, and people like you who have it easy don’t know shit.

You don’t know what work is. You don’t know what it means to work hard when you set a goal because all your goals were reached by dint of your family name.

You don’t deserve any of the positions you ever got from this government. Not as chairwoman of MTRCB, not as Senator.

So please sit your ass and let real adults handle the traffic problem because this is BEYOND your capacity.

SIT YOUR ASS BECAUSE THE SENATE IS NOT THE PLACE FOR THAT GIANT CHIP ON YOUR SHOULDER, YOUR GRAPPLING WITH YOUR PERSONAL IDENTITY AND WORTH, AND YOUR PERSONAL LOST GIRL ISSUES ABOUT HAVING TO PROVE THAT YOU DESERVE YOUR PLACE IN THIS WORLD.

PS: Flex ko Lang yung photo namin, madam Grace.

This is Art Tugade at his office in Clark, where he goes to every day from
his house in Alabang. He pays these Aetas to work on the building periphery and the “farm” he has in the area, with the produce just laid out outside the entrance so that staff can pick what they need. He doesn’t believe in doleouts, he believes in putting in effort. Art Tugade VALUES real work—a concept that is probably foreign to you.
