Fake news? Citizens have recently turned up their voices in pointing out a certain news report by ABS-CBN's TV Patrol on Quezon City teachers allegedly protesting mandatory drug tests.

The word is, and as reported by several other news stations, the teachers were actually protesting the delay in the delivery of their pay.

TV Patrol reported on July 6, "Kontra ang ilang grupo ng pampublikong paaralan sa planong drug test sa kanila."

The report was also aired in the primetime news show.

Meanwhile other news stations such as GMA News and News 5 have reported the incident, stating that what the educators were calling for is the giving of their allowance, which has been denied from them for a year.

An Eitnas Senos in her Facebook page shared the headline from all three aforementioned News agencies, with ABS-CBN being the only one with the different report.

Tatlong malalaking TV Network Company. Kayo na po ang humusga kung paano nilihis ng ABS-CBN ang balitang ipinaglaban naming mga guro," the netizen said.

The blogsite Hidden Truth PH also shared the instance.

"Fake news by ABSCBN? The teachers were protesting against their delayed allowances and nothing about the drug test," its post read.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN has yet to comment or clarify their position on the issue.
