Mag-ingat! Bagong Modus sa Delivery Service gamit ang Text Message, Nauuso!

Viral ngayon sa social media ang post ng isang netizen tungkol sa diumano ay bagong modus ng nagpapanggap na delivery service gamit ang isang text message.

Ibinahagi ng netizen na si Rogelio Almocera Casa ang kanyang personal na karanasan ng siya ay makatanggap ng isang text message at nagsasabing idedeliver na ang kanyang 'parcel'. Hindi naman raw siya nabiktima nito, ngunit nagdesisyong ipost ito online upang magbigay ng babala sa iba na huwag maging biktima.


"There's a new modus circulating nowadays wherein you will receive a certain text message telling you that your parcel is ready for delivery. I received this message last friday, and i hope that everyone who reads this post will learn from this encounter. I never became their victim, and so I am posting this for awareness. For easy understanding, captions are provided in each picture. Don't be a victim. Phishing and Pharming is real!", post ni Casa.

Ikinabigla raw niya ito dahil wala naman siyang inaantay na deliveries at hindi niya talaga ugali ang mag-order online. Noon pa lamang raw ay naghinala na siya na baka modus ito kaya kanyang binuksan ang 'link' sa text message para malaman ang totoo.

"I am surprised because I was not really expecting for any deliveries. I am not a fan of any shopping delivery apps for the record. I already have the hint that this might be a sort of some modus yet I still clicked the link. Why not?", sulat niya.

Sa una ay aakalain mo raw talaga na legit ang link dahil dadalhin ka nito sa website ng Post Philippine Postal Corporation, kung saan sasabihing mayroon kang 'pending delivery' at magbibigay pa ng 'tracking code' nito.

Sa nasabing website, tatanungin ka rin kung ano ang iyong mode of delivery at kung saan, kailan mo ipapadeliver ang 'parcel'.

"This is funny. If you want to know if it's legit or not, might be healthy to choose either cash on delivery or receive the item at the collection point." dagdag niya.

Matapos ay tatanungin ka na raw ng 'shipping' information', kasama ang iyong pangalan, email address, phone number at card details at dadalhin ka sa bagong website.

"This is where you can be fooled from this point as you enter your information. Again, take note of the website above. It's as if you are being led to another website. Ang jejemon pa kainis!", aniya.

At dahil gusto niya din pagkatuwaan ang natanggap na mensahe ay naglagay siya ng mga mali at pekeng impormasyon upang malaman kung hanggang saan siya dadalhin nito.

"So i also made fun of them. I tried to enter some false and fictional charot charot details just to test wherever this will lead me." sabi pa niya.

Hanggang sa dadalhin ka na raw sa huling bahagi kung saan hihingin ang iyong credit card details at doon ay makukuhanan ka na ng salapi sa paniwalang mayroon ngang 'parcel' na idedeliver sayo.

"And now this is the moment of truth. This is the step where they will get all your credit card details if you voluntarily give it to them. Effortless getting your money, isn't it, after making you believe that you have a parcel waiting for you.", ani Casa.

Ang tawag diumano dito ay 'phishing at pharming' kung saan kinukuha ang iyong mga detalye at magugulat ka na lamang na may nangyari ng transactions gamit ang iyong credit card ng hindi mo nalalaman.

Pakiusap niya rin sa Philippine Postal Corporation na bigyang pansin ang kaganapang ito at para sa lahat na maging mapanuri palagi.

"And once they got your details, you will then be surprised to have transactions without your knowledge. This is what they call phishing and pharming. Beware! I asked the Philippine Postal Corporation and they have no legit transactions like this. Again, look at the website. This should serve as a lesson to everyone. Maging mapanuri!", pagtatatapos ni Casa.
