“I am challenging the top brass of the PNP to travel with me incognito. I will be your driver.”

Narito ang buong post:

"What is the difference between an Army (AFP) checkpoint and a PNP checkpoint? This is a personal experience 36 hours ago.

The intent of this post is not to put down any unit, but to give lessons in "how to do it."
I went thru 4 PNP checkpoints and only 1 Army checkpoint.

All 4 PNP checkpoint: Saan KA galing (while pointing a blinding LED flashlight on your face)?"

Me: Sa _______ po.

4PNP Chkpts: Nasaan ID MO?

Me: Heto po.

PNP chkpt: 1 chkpt said, expired na yan ( Duh and Toinks!. Galing sa college graduate yan). 3 other PNP chkpts, sige (gesturing for me to go pero mukhang inis)." By the way, the ID is NOT military Id, but a work ID.

Army chkpt: (Cpl as I see from his rank). Magandang gabi po Sir! Mukhang pagod na kayo sa byahe. Sir, saan PO KAYO galing?

Me: Sa _______ pa po Ser

Army chkpt: Naku, malayo po Sir yun. Patingin na lang po ng ID NYO. APOR po ba kayo? Ah ok, Sir kumpleto pala KAYO.

Maraming salamat.

Army chkpt: sige Sir, ingat KAYO.

NOTE: I did not, and has not identified myself to any of them that I was a retired Marine.

See the difference? I encourage motorists to take videos of checkpoints. It is a good feedback mechanism for our security organizations to improve and correct themselves.

One thing I learned.... wala sa educational attainment ang pagiging marespeto at makatao. Nasa training at kultura.

Army, high school graduate before (72 college units now). PNP, college graduate.

To give you an idea: This is a 520km stretch.

I am challenging the top brass of the PNP to travel with me incognito. I will be your driver.
