What’s in Store for Us in 2026? Key Trends Shaping the Year Ahead

7:35 PM

2026 Seen as a Year of Global Stabilization

As the world moves closer to 2026, experts suggest the coming year will focus on stabilization rather than disruption. After a period of rapid technological and social change, governments and industries are expected to refine existing systems while responding to ongoing global challenges.

Artificial Intelligence Becomes a Daily Tool

Artificial intelligence is projected to be fully integrated into everyday life by 2026. From healthcare diagnostics to financial services and education, AI-driven tools are expected to become standard, prompting continued debate over data privacy, ethics, and regulatory oversight.

Workforce Shifts Emphasize Flexibility and Skills

The global workforce is expected to continue evolving as hybrid and remote work models become more structured. Employers are placing greater value on digital skills and adaptability, while workers increasingly prioritize flexibility, work-life balance, and job satisfaction.

Economic Outlook Shows Uneven Growth

Economists predict moderate but uneven economic growth in 2026. While some regions may continue to face inflation and debt concerns, increased investment in renewable energy, infrastructure, and digital services is expected to support long-term economic recovery.

Social Issues Gain Greater Policy Attention

Social concerns such as mental health, income inequality, and access to essential services are expected to remain at the forefront of public discourse. Policymakers are facing mounting pressure, particularly from younger generations, to promote transparency, inclusion, and accountability.

Climate Challenges Continue to Shape Decisions

Climate-related events are likely to remain a major influence on global policy in 2026. Governments are expanding clean energy programs, strengthening environmental protections, and investing in climate resilience to address growing environmental risks.

2026 Outlook Points to Measured Progress

Overall, 2026 is shaping up to be a year defined by measured progress rather than dramatic change. Analysts note that cooperation, innovation, and long-term planning will play a crucial role in navigating challenges and building a more sustainable future.

Veteran Journalist on Liza Soberano's Latest Revelation: "SIKAT KA NGA, PERO IBA ANG YUMAMAN SA KINITA MO."

Ani Liza, "I really don't like talking about commissions because it's a private financial matter. But people were accusing Tito Ogie of taking 40% from me.

"It's not right," ani Liza.

"That's incorrect. It actually hurts me that he's making up those lies about me. I feel like he's trying to make it seem like I wasn't profitable in the past two years we were working together when he knows the truth," paglilinaw niya.

"He knows my pains, he knows the things that I felt, the things were mishandled so it's kind of unfair, I feel like he's trying to tarnish my name."

"And he knows. I don't want to bring this up but he still gets commissions from some of the endorsements of mine that fell under the time I was under contract with him even though he has no more obligations. We told him he had no more obligations towards me with those endorsements."

"Literally last month, we gave him a paycheck for an endorsement that was renewed before our contract ended. And kahit wala na siyang ginagawa for that, we gave him his commission because that's what's right," maramdaming pahayag ng aktres.

He's going to get another one this week."

Base on her recent revelations, and on account of the tax regime applied on taxable income, it would appear that her ACTUAL net income is roughly in the minimum of 28% and maximum of 32% ONLY.

Tapos, dito pa kinukuha iyong up keep tulad ng wardrobe, jewelries, hygiene, mobility, iyong lambing o harbat ng mga movie reporters/announcers, bayad sa alalay, make up artist, etc.

Mula sa gross amount of Contract/Engagement/Shoot or Taping Fees, kukunin ang mga komisyon ng talent manager (30%), guardian/talent scout/road manager (20%) and star magic/abs-cbn talent center (10%), plus other taxes (VAT, Income) and other mandatory & legal deductibles.

“Calling students who are not raising their hands is never wrong and never will be.”

“This effective strategy creates an expectation that all students are ready to answer every question. Guess what? This has been proven to promote attention, engagement, and participation,” patuloy niya.

Screencap from Twitter

Narito ang ilang komento ng mga netizens:

“I’m a teacher in a public school. I’m not offended by vice coz I know it’s all in good fun. I’m one of those teachers din na tinatawag ang batang hindi nagre-raise ng hand but I also make sure na hindi mapapahiya ang bata at ang atmosphere sa loob ng klase ay full of love lagi,” saad ng isang nagpakilalang guro.

Comment naman ng isang netizen, “Siguro if the creative team is creating that a meme or joke segment, just at least gumawa na lang kayo ng subject na hindi nakaka-offend para sa iba? again vice, ito na naman tayo, sa inyo joke lang ‘yan pero para sa iba hindi. kung ‘di pa rin kayo matututo, kayo na talaga ang mali.”

Hirit ng isa pa, “Kung lahat ng biro ay seseryosohin wala ng mag papatawa, (hindi lahat ginagawang biro) hindi din lahat dapat sineseryo, if it doesn’t fit you just simply don’t wear it, ikaw lang masasaktan pag pinilit mo ‘yung bagay na hindi para sayo, a comedian is responsible for–”

“Baka ‘di nya lang gets meme ‘yun satire. We understood the jokes.

Transmen are men. Non-binary people are valid. People can have non-conforming gender expressions,” sabi ni Habijan.
Screengrab from Mela Franco Habijan Twitter account

“And LGBTQIA+ people are people worthy to be and become.
Screengrab from Mela Franco Habijan Twitter account

Good luck mga anakshies!”
Photo credit: RR Valencia Salon for Men and Women

If they can't follow the rules of the school, then they should have pick another school.

Pag hinayaan nyo ang kabataan to express themselves at all forms, parang sinabi nyo na rin na they are free to do what they want without any limitations.

“You’re in an institution that has rules and regulations before you even got there. Hind babaguhin ng schools yung regulations nila to cater to you.

Now, if you’re going to say na “this school, that school, pwede yun”. Then maybe enroll there? If hindi mo afford, then sumunod ka. It’s really simple. Masyado lang entitled yung mga students ngayon. Whenever something doesn’t go their way, they will scream and accuse discrimination agad. It’s disappointing really.

Additional note: If the institution is not supporting what you believe in, it’s unfortunate. But you can’t enforce your beliefs to someone just because you want to,” sabi ni Chris Refield.

Lawyer and TV Host, may Pasaring kay Rowena Guanzon: "Kung confident ka sa naabot mo, there is no need to have a word war with anyone!"

5:05 AM
Ruffa Gutierrez | Bruce Rivera | Rowena Guanzon | CTTO

"Kaya kita pinapatulan. Oppressor ka na eh. You can malign a running candidate for President but if you will bully someone because she is a movie star who was once embroiled in a scam, one that she has already paid her dues to is bullying. Even by my standards.", ani Atty. Bruce.

"Kung confident ka sa naabot mo, there is no need to have a word war with anyone you think you are much better in comparison unless aaminin mo na you want what Ruffa has that is: she is popular. ",

"ROWENA...TSK TSK

Nakakatawa ang simplestic retort ng isang abogado. Nahuhuli sa bibig.

Come to think of it.

Hahahaha..

Sa sagot ni Tralala, she just validated Ruffa's observation.

Ruffa never claimed na may pinag-aralan siya. Rowena claims she is a scholar.

Kung confident ka sa naabot mo, there is no need to have a word war with anyone you think you are much better in comparison unless aaminin mo na you want what Ruffa has that is: she is popular.

Kaya kita pinapatulan. Oppressor ka na eh. You can malign a running candidate for President but if you will bully someone because she is a movie star who was once embroiled in a scam, one that she has already paid her dues to is bullying. Even by my standards.

An Untold Story Revealed when FEM's 83 year old Former Close In Presidential Guard, Reunites with Sen. Imee

3:48 AM

Photo credit to Senator Imee R. Marcos | Facebook

Photo credit to Senator Imee R. Marcos | Facebook

Photo credit to Senator Imee R. Marcos | Facebook

"He wanted to stop them from being corrupt," ani Boquiren.

For example, about agriculture 'yan, i-order niyang ipasa lahat sa kanya yung data na kailangan. He will sit in the office with the data, together with a stenographer.

Photo credit to Senator Imee R. Marcos | Facebook

Narito ang buong Facebook ni Senator Imee:

"FEM’S 83 YEAR OLD FORMER CLOSE IN PRESIDENTIAL GUARD REUNITES WITH GOVERNOR IMEE

Ret. Sgt. Arturo Boquiren was a presidential guard of Former President Ferdinand E. Marcos (FEM) from 1970 to 1985, assigned primarily to the latter’s study room that his daughter, Governor Imee R. Marcos, describes as having “connected him to his cabinet, the military, and the outside world.”

Boquiren’s tasks were to prepare documents for Marcos' signature, telephone cabinet secretaries and schedule appointments, and arrange the president's overall schedule, among others. He was also witness to a number of President Marcos’ meetings, including two instances wherein he scolded and cursed two different government officials for corruption.

“He wanted to stop them from being corrupt,” said Boquiren, quoting Marcos as having cursed them and lamenting, “’Sinabihan ko na kayo, huminto na kayo!

Being one of FEM’s most trusted men, he also managed a portion of the president’s finances and was in charge of distributing salaries of the guards assigned to the Malacañang of the North in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, while it was being constructed.

“But I have not even seen it since it was completed,” he added jokingly. Now at the age of 83, he is often confined to a wheelchair but still desires to visit Ilocos Norte to see the completed Paoay residence of the Marcos family.

The Malacañang of the North today serves as an open museum of FEM’s life, works, and achievements.
Boquiren also recalled how FEM consolidates data for his speeches, saying that the latter is truly a good public speaker. He describes FEM as a very industrious, intelligent, and studious person.

For example, about agriculture 'yan, i-order niyang ipasa lahat sa kanya yung data na kailangan. He will sit in the office with the data, together with a stenographer. ”

Alleged ill-gotten wealth

With regards to the controversial "ill-gotten" wealth, Boquiren firmly stated that “hindi nagnakaw ang mga Marcos. Hindi ka niya pinapahirapan. Hindi ka niya inutangan.”

Amidst all the propaganda and negative stories focused on FEM and his family in the past decades, Boquiren shares an important lesson learned during his service, saying “Sabi niya [FEM] politiko ka man o hindi, you will always have enemies, but if you satisfy six out of ten people, you are already good.’

He also criticized some books published about the former president as untrue, and pointed out how writers today are distorting information just to make headlines.

“Yung mga writer ngayon, yung ten nila nagiging 20, yung 20 nagiging 30. Kung 'di sobra, kulang.”

Boquiren was able to meet FEM’s eldest daughter, Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, on her visit to San Carlos City in Pangasinan Province yesterday, March 22. He received a special mention from Governor Marcos, who introduced him as “the most influential and loyal person in the study room at the Office of the President FEM.”

“I am grateful that Miss Imee still remembers me, and that she had revived all those memories again,” said Boquiren.

“I have to agree! What is his state of mind? I will definitely not fly #CebuPAC until they have addressed the issue.”

“More than that you worry about his state of mind. Will never trust my family in his hands.” Aniya

"I'm calling for @CebuPacificAir to fire that pilot who made up a story on the VP. What does that act make him as a person? As a Cebu Pacific pilot? What a horrible human being. All for what? A chance to make the VP look bad? At the expense of his employer? Kaloka." Ayon sa retweet ni Manzano*

"Has he had a psych test? Should he still be allowed to fly?" aniya sa caption

“Since becoming aware of the social media post by one of our pilots in reference to a flight of Vice President Leni Robredo, I confirm that the pilot has made it clear to us that he had no basis for his claim and was purely speculative and careless on his part,” ayon sa pahayag ng Cebu Pacific VP for Flight Operations na si Sam Avila

“While the pilot posted his commentary on his own accord, a post he has since removed, on behalf of Cebu Pacific, and as Head of our Pilot Group, I take command responsibility and apologize unreservedly to the Vice President and the general public for the actions of our pilot,” dagdag ni Avila

“During her entire tenure as Vice President, VP Leni has never asked to be prioritized for taking off or landing when traveling by air. Any claim to the contrary is a lie,” ayon sa pahayag ng OVP

A Concerned Mother's Open Letter to ADMU: "I have been 'Cancelled' so many times especially by your community.."

Nanguna diumano sa panawagang ito ang University of the Philippines (UP) Office of the Student Regent kung saan kanilang ideneklara na "No classes under a Marcos presidency” at inutusan raw ang mga mag-aaral na magwalk-out.

Photo credit to UP Office of the Student Regent | Facebook

“Joining the call for walkout, if committed by a student, is a violation of the Student Manual, and such is defined as an act of participating in unauthorized off-campus extracurricular activities as an individual or as a group; classified as a Grave Offense and punishable by dismissal or expulsion pursuant to the Student Manual,” ayon diumano memorandum.

“Any student who will participate in any case in said walkout will be subjected to disciplinary actions in accordance with the Student Manual,” dagdag ni Carlos-Tria.

Photo credit to Nikko Buendia | Facebook

“I have co-parents reaching out to me and expressing grief and concern about how their children are behaving differently and against them. One has even left home to be with her like-minded peers to heal the grief over the defeat of a candidate,” ani Buendia.

"AN OPEN LETTER TO THE Ateneo de Manila University …

My son is a Homegrown Atenean … from prep and currently a senior in your university. I have witnessed how you, through your curriculum, teachers, and school extra curriculars, actively inculcate in your students the values of truth, justice, and honor. As a Catholic institution, the paramount principles imbedded into young minds should be that of generosity, humility, and love … the very traits Christ taught through his actions.

I am an Ateneo parent who has been vocal about my beliefs and have been "cancelled" so many times especially by your community. But this election season has revealed an even more extreme persona that seems to have taken root in your students. I have coparents reaching out to me and expressing grief and concern how their children are behaving differently and against them. One has even left home to be with her likeminded peers to heal the grief over the defeat of your candidate … Mind you these are not only coming from Uniteam parents supporters but also from Pink parents supporters as well.

The very educational institution that has professed the values of faith, hope, and love, has represented the opposite. Instead of encouraging students to seek the truth wherever it may lead, you have imposed your own version of the "truth" on them. Instead of creating an atmosphere of love, you have stoked the flames of hatred towards a perceived "enemy". Instead of preaching kindness, you choose to inspire an intolerance for others' beliefs and choices. Instead of celebrating the joy of academic discovery, you have created a culture of holier-than-thou” mindset amongst your flock isolating those who sees differently. Instead of standing up for the weak and downtrodden, you have remained quiet as your "flock" turns on those with differing views.

Your partisan stance has encouraged young impressionable minds to blindly take up your "cause" against the "enemy". History has many instances that the youth are the easiest to be molded into a terrifying mob. And it is apparent what you … along with other Catholic institutions … are building. This road will not lead to heaven.

I am blessed that my children are mentally and emotionally strong, able to withstand their peers' online harassment , derision, and bullying … and come out with joyous resolve to stand by their own decisions. My concern lies with those children who are more vulnerable than them.

Any claim to the contrary is a lie,” ayon pa sa pahayag
