Palace exec says Duterte is satisfied with Puyat's performance amid Pulong's outrage

Pres. Rodrigo Duterte seemed to be unfazed by his eldest son's complaints against the Tourism Chief Bernadette Romulo-Puyat.

Despite the Deputy Speaker and Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte's outrage versus Sec. Puyat, the president did not express any support on Pulong's previous claims that recently disrupted the House of the Representatives.

According to one of Duterte's alter-ego, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, the president continues to be “all praises” and “very warm” toward the Deparrtment of Tourism secretary during Cabinet meetings.

“The full trust and confidence of the President in Secretary Berna obviously continues. We all know that Secretary Berna has done many good things as far as tourism is concerned,” Nograles told reporters, Friday.

If there is any complaint against Puyat that might have reached Duterte's ears, Nograles admitted that he was not aware of any.

The latter also pointed out that tourism figures improved under Puyat’s leadership.
