Richard Gomez slams netizen who accused him of being absent for his Greenland vacation

Iconic actor Richard Gomez did not mince his words when he responded to a netizen whose comment on his Instagram post caught his attention.

Gomez is now a Mayor in Ormoc City after he won in the 2016 elections.

The actor-turned-politician who rose to fame in the 80s is currently in Greenland with his wife Lucy Torres and daughter Juliana Ma. Beatrice.

As seen on his Instagram, Gomez seemed to be having a good time. Obviously, the government official is on vacation leave.

Among the series of photos he posted was a topless video of him where he pulled a stunt: he took a dip at the Arctic waters of Greenland where the cold temperature is too much to bear.

"Taking the plunge in the Arctic waters of Greenland at subzero temperature", Gomez said in his caption.

While some were amazed of what Gomez did, a certain comment of a netizen compelled the actor to give a reply that it badly deserved.

Accusing the Ormoc City Mayor of being absent while on vacation, it said “Oh? Absent na naman ang Mayor?! Seriously, why is civil service tolerating this kind of governance?”

Gomez slammed the netizen by calmly answering him/her, as if kiIIing him with kindness.

Indeed, how the 53-year-old Gomez retorted put the netizen in his place by lecturing him about the basic, but necessary, lesson he/she needed to learn.

 “Do you know if there is a word in your workplace that says ‘on leave’? Try working and get vacation leave, only then will you understand what I’m doing,” Gomez explained.
