Recently, there have been number of viral complaints in social media concerning a prominent Bank in the Philippines allegedly engaged in siphoning money from their customers’ personal savings account. The issue concerns a number of unauthorized transactions that rips off a considerable amount from loyal bank clients due to monetary transactions that were beyond their knowledge.


One victim of these worrisome scheme was netizen Juliet Ann Renomeron who, out of anger and disappointment, published a Facebook post about the particular incident. With a loss amounting to more than 27,000 pesos due to unauthorized transactions made abroad, Juliet Ann just like any customer, immediately called the attention of the concerned bank but according to her, she was allegedly treated ineffectively.

“BDO "We find ways" para mabawasan ang pera nyo via UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTION.

December 27 ng chineck ko BDO app ko w/c is lagi ko naman ginagawa every morning. Napasin ko na andaming debit transaction (12 to be exact) at total of P27,836.66!! Wala naman ako maalala na may binili ako, hawak ko din mismo yung ATM card ko tapos iba pa yung location hindi PHL kaya kinabahan na ako. Tumawag ako sa BDO hotline kasi gusto ko mapa block yung card para maiwasan ang mga susunod pa na transaction kaso 20mins. Na yata eh wala padin agent.

Nagdecide ako na pumunta sa nearest BDO branch tapos sinabi ko na papablock ko yung card kasi may gimagamit ng card ko... eto yung nakakaloka mga beshywap "hindi daw nila kaya i block yung card, kelangan sa hotline lang" kaya itinuro nila sakin yung telepono sa branch nila at gamitin ko daw para makatawag sa BDO hotline. 

Nawindang ako ng very light kasi branch na di pa kaya?? Anuna? Ansilbi ng branch? So umuwi ako ng bahay nag-dial ulit at naghintay sa freaking queue for 20-30 mins yata?? Basta matagal. 

So ayun ni-block si card tapos pupunta ka sa branch of account for replacement at may pipirmahan ka na dispute form. Total of 60 days ang investigation ng unauthorized transaction at di ko sure kung maibabalik yung pera pero sana diba?? Haller P27,000+ ang hirap kumita ng pera!! Jusko BDO kaloka kayo!! Kaya kung naka BDO kayo nako magisip isip na kayo!! Baka matulad pa kayo sakin!

P.S Kaya late ko na pinost kasi akala ko ako lang yun pala eh andami narin ganitong case 😭 kaya spread the news bago pa mahuli ang lahat at bago mangyari sa inyo.”
