“God always sends His angels to save every precious life.

Prospero 'Pay Erong' Sueno, 74, a retired barber of Tawog, Caramoan, Camarines Sur, was saved from drowning early this morning at the river bank in between his farm and Bonifacio D. Borebor Sr. High School by two Senior High School students.

Edward Laurenciano Ortil and Joshua Amaro both of G11-EIM jumped into the river after learning from the school guard that an old man needs help. Not minding that they were in school attire, and the flooded river was about 10feet deep, Edward and Joshua moved as one to save Pay Erong.

'Nakita ko pong may taong inaanod ng baha at hindi ako pwedeng tumalon mula sa lokasyon ko kaya tumawag ako ng saklolo', says 'Pay Awel' Manuel Cepeda, who was on his usual morning rounds in the Junior High School campus.

Predicting possible flood after heavy rains, Pay Erong narrated that he decided to leave his farm crossing the narrow portion but noticed late, depth was no longer usual and flood water was upon him.

'Salamat na lang po at naisalba ako ng dalawang batang ito,' Pay Erong tremblingly whispered after he was brought up through the school ladder.

To God be the glory.”
