Anak ng isang magsasaka, pumasa sa 13-prestigious Universities at makakatanggap ng tumataginting na 11-M

Kinabibiliban ngayon ang talino ng isang graduating Senior High School student na si Benjamin Arches Baui matapos nitong mapagtagumpayang maipasa ang hindi lang basta isa o dalawa kundi labintatlong sikat na mga Unibersidad bilang isang scholar. Pito rito ang mula sa mga kilalang prestihiyosong International Universities at anim ang mula sa mga sikat na paaralan dito sa bansa.

Gumawa ng ingay ngayon sa social media ang kanyang pangalan at achievement dahil ang alok na scholarship award sa kanya ay aabot sa tinatayang PHP11 million.

Anak ng isang magsasaka si Benjamin na Tubong Sto. Tomas, Isabela, pangarap niyang kumuha ng kursong Architecture sa napupusuang unibersidad na papasukan sa Ohio, USA.

“Ang plano ko po is grab the opportunity in Xavier University. Yun po yung pinakamataas na na-receive kong scholarship, which costs PHP1.5 million per year, into five years of my course…. Then probably it will cost me, I will receive [a scholarship] approximately PHP7 million,”

Hindi mapantayan ang tuwa't saya na kanyang naramdaman na aminadong hindi naging madali ang pinagdaanang mga proseso para makakuha at maipasa ang scholarship grants ng mga kapita-pitagang unibersidad.

“Nag-pay off naman po yung hardship ko from writing recommendations, application letters, letter of appeal, from examining…”

“Sa libu-libong mga aplikante na natanggap at nasuri ng Admission’s Committee, ako ay namumukod-tangi. Sobrang puno ng puso ko ngayon. Ni hindi ko alam kung paano ilalabas ang halo-halong emosyon na nararamdaman ko ngayon,"

Ibinahagi rin ni Benjamin na nagka-ideya lamang siya sa ganitong malalaking oportunidad makapag-aral abroad dahil sa isang Facebook post at doon na rin siya humingi ng tulong.

“Ang makamit ang isang pangarap ay napakagaan sa loob. It is only a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so I’m really willing to grab it,” he added.

“Inaamin ko na magiging mahirap para sa akin ang mga bagay dahil kailangan kong kumita ng sapat na pera upang manatili sa Estados Unidos.”

Nagbigay rin siya ng payo para sa lahat ng mga katulad niyang nangangarap lang din noon mabigyan ng pagkakataong makapag-aral sa prestihiyosong paaralan.

“Ang pinaka importante po sa lahat ay maging disiplinado po sa pag-aaral and maging responsable po. And don’t let your anxiety deter you from achieving your dreams,”

“Wag kang mapaghinaan ng loob sa mga bad feedbacks from other people, don’t doubt yourself and you should find strength in yourself to achieve your dream po,”

I’m Benjamin Arches Baui, from Santo Tomas, Isabela. I am a graduating Grade 12 Student.

As of now, these are the international universities I've passed. I am delighted to inform you all that I have been accepted as a first-year student to a number of prestigious international schools in the United States for the Fall of 2022. My strong application and outstanding academic prowess have proved to the Admissions committee that I have the academic strength, ingenuity, and talent to succeed. As a result, I've gotten scholarships and awards worth a total of 11 million pesos in the Philippines.

1. Passed Bentley University Class of 2026. Awarded as one of the talented pool of students globally. Bentley University is a private university focused on business and located in Waltham, Massachusetts.

2. Admitted to Arizona State University Class of 2026. Received a New American University Scholarsip valued 40,000 usd or 2 million in Philippine Peso. Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ is a public research university ranked #1 in the U.S. for innovation, dedicated to accessibility and academic.

3. Offered an admission to Xavier University Class of 2026. Awarded the Presidential Scholarship valued 100,000 usd or 5.2 million in Philippine Peso. Xavier University is a private Jesuit university in Cincinnati and Norwood, Ohio.

4. Passed the University of Arizona. Met the academic requirements and received a Global Wildcat Award valued 30,000 usd or 1.5 million in Philippine Peso. The University of Arizona is a public land-grant research university in Tucson, Arizona.

5. Conditionally admitted to Syracuse University’s dual enrollment. Syracuse University is a private research university in Syracuse, New York.

6. Merrimack College. Merrimack College is a private Augustinian university in North Andover, Massachusetts.

7. Jacobs University Bremen. Private university in Bremen, Germany. A private, English-speaking campus university in Germany with highest standards in research and teaching following an interdisciplinary concept. Have been awarded a scholarship of € 6000 per academic year.

I am making an effort not to brag yet I’m simply past glad for myself due to the way that I endure the main portion of my objectives for my college education. Among the thousands of applicants the Admission’s Committee have received and reviewed, I have stood out .
