Most children study so they will have a better future when they grow up. But not everyone is given the opportunity to study. Sometimes, due to poverty, some people choose to work early and postpone their study. When that happens, does it become too late when they are already grown ups?
Of course not
A 75-year old grandfather, Benjamin Naoe proved that it is never too late to reach for your dreams. Lolo Benjamin is taking up Political Science at the University of Pangasinan. Due to poverty, he was not able to finish his college dream when he was forced to work after high school.
Soon after that, he started his own family, making his college dream farther away from his grasp.
Now that his wife had already passed away, and his children already have families of their own. He took the chance to go back and achieve his dream that was paused.
He doesn't care if he is too old to look for a job after graduating, he just wants to earn a degree which has always been his dream.

One of Lolo Benjamin's classmates, Christian Monses was so inspired by him that he posted Lolo's story on Facebook. He even called out at the students who are getting lazy when studying. According to Christian, may these lazy students find inspiration in what Lolo Benjamin is doing. After all, not everyone is given the opportunity to study, and some are taking it for granted.

"Isa po ako sa mga estudyanteng na inspire ni lolo, pinatunayan niyo na hindi pa huli ang lahat upang ipagpatuloy ang pag-aaral. Ang laking bagay sa akin na nakilala ko siya."
The powerful message of Christian's post didn't escape the eye of the netizens, resulting to the post being viral and getting shares and comments all through out Facebook.
