The bu££ying incident rounding around the social media does not solely revolve between Joaquin Montes and his victims. The issue was like a Pandora's box for opening up and rekindling old stories of bu££ying experience. One who stands his ground and speaks out about the issue is actor Xian Lim. He didn’t let the chance pass and inspire people to let their voice out should there be claims of abuse.

Bu££ied

Xian shared how schooling brought him hell. Being an introvert, he was being called out with various names for being fat. He was 12 when he experienced being beaten up and spit on. It was hell for him he almost refuse to go back to school. Despite series of abuse, he admitted that he didn’t tell his parents about it. He was scared and made stories of feeling sick just to skip school.

In the Arms of the Bu££ies

Things worsen when one time he cried in front of the class because everyone laughs at him and says bad things about him. It made his life miserable and hate school even more. Once, he tried to speak up only to get beaten up more and kicked in the face. Xian even experienced being pointed with a knife on his neck. The things turned bad and made him eat his lunch on the bathroom and stayed quiet all the time. To avoid being “pocket checked,” he used to hide his money inside his underwear.

Lim sends a strong message to everyone,

“You do not want this to happen to your kids trust me. You do not want this to happen to your brothers and sisters. You do not want this to happen to anyone. It has to stop.”

#StopBu££ying

The actor admitted a huge mistake of not speaking up and standing up against his beaters.

Though in the past, he has learned a lot in the process and urge people to walk hand in hand and stop the stigma of abuse. He calls out to people experiencing the same thing,

“If you’re bu££ied right now, please speak up.”
